Church History

Bathgate has had a spiritualist church in the Guide Hall for several years . This was operated by a local medium for some time , however after she retired the church closed. After lying dormant for some time , Dot Fraser who having experience in helping run another church reopened this church under a new name.

Finding a suitable name as in "The Guiding Light Spiritualist Church "

Dot reopened the church in January 2004.

Dots approach is to offer a laid back and informal but friendly atmosphere to all who enter . Both Dot and her band of helpers give those venturing into this spiritualist church a friendly experience, where it operates like an extended family .
